Captain's Log  New in May 2008

Starting in May 2008, we will be giving you updates from our diving - a week at a time.  We will tell you about the exciting adventures and critter encounters that we or our guests have.  We hope you enjoy reading the logs with as much fun as we had in creating them for you.  Dive in now!

Week of April 26-May 2 2008

Most of the dives were from the southside of the island this week. We had some fantastic days at West Caicos and the friendly grouper at The Gulley shadowed divers for most of the dive.  NW Point offered up some good sightings of sharks and there were a pod of dolphins on the way in!  Water temps are warming up!

Week of April 19-25 2008

The winds calmed down and we were finally able to dive from the north shore again after a week of stormy weather.  We've had several Caribbean Reef Shark sightings, a JoJo encounter (while he chased off a shark in Grace Bay), turtles, 2 manta rays and tons of reef fish activity. The water temperature is warming up and now is 78 degrees F (26 C).  We have a few brave divers going in shorties, while most of the divers are still wearing full 3mm wetsuits.
