Most of the
dives were from the southside of the island this week. We had
some fantastic days at West Caicos and the friendly grouper at
The Gulley shadowed divers for most of the dive. NW Point
offered up some good sightings of sharks and there were a pod of
dolphins on the way in! Water temps are warming up!

Week of April 19-25 2008 |

The winds calmed
down and we were finally able to dive from the north shore again
after a week of stormy weather. We've had several
Caribbean Reef Shark sightings, a JoJo encounter (while he
chased off a shark in Grace Bay), turtles, 2 manta rays and tons
of reef fish activity. The water temperature is warming up and
now is 78 degrees F (26 C). We have a few brave divers
going in shorties, while most of the divers are still wearing
full 3mm wetsuits. |
